Aunty Bertha as my family called her was like a Grandmother to my siblings and I. She delivered me at birth and helped me when I had my first child. She was truly a gift to her profession. She delivered I would say in our generation a majority of us and we should be thankful that we had her. And if I remembered clearly she worked hand in hand with Dr. Archibald Johnson who also was a God send. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
Ms. Bertha, through the lives of those many children you brought into this world, including two of our children, Yoquelleh and Garnett, Jr., your great deeds and memorable life will continue to shine on earth long after you have left us. You will forever remain a sweet part of our memories. Good bye and rest in perpetual peace!

I can remeber how my aunty was so busy in her home and clinic. She was the best midwife i've known. the best mother, aunty, and friend. I owe her for the good marriage i have been blessed with. I love you & will miss you dearly. sleep in the arms of our Dear Lord. tell mama hi for me.
We were all blessed to have known her and love her. She was certainly one of God's angels when it came to Midwifery.
